Who is eligible?
Grants are available for winterized residential property (including rental properties). This includes detached, semi-detached and low-rise residential buildings that are no more than 3 storeys high (with a footprint of less than 600 square meters), as well as mobile homes on a permanent foundation.
Eligible Improvements & Grant Amounts
Grants are available for energy retrofits.
The government of Saskatchewan provides grants to property owners who complete energy efficient retrofits based on the results of their EnerGuide for Houses evaluation.
Grant amounts is based on specific energy efficiency retrofits such as upgrades to the heating, cooling, and ventilation systems; increased insulation levels; draft proofing; and upgraded domestic hot water system to include tankless hot water heater, a solar hot water system and/ or a drain-water heat recovery (DWHR) system.
Only homeowners who have completed a pre-retrofit evaluation by a licensed energy advisor are eligible for a grant.
