Pre-Retrofit “D” Evaluation The Pre-Retrofit “D” evaluation is the first step in completing the program. Before starting your retrofits, a licensed evaluator will do a thorough energy evaluation of your home. You have 18 months to complete your retrofits and book your Post-Retrofit/ “E” Evaluation. Any work completed prior to the Pre-Retrofit evaluation will not qualify for a grant. If an emergency situation arises where you need to replace your furnace prior to the Pre-Retrofit evaluation, you must book your evaluation within 5 days of the furnace replacement. (This only applies during the heating season) 2 – 2 1/2 hours $150.00 plus applicable travel plus GST
Post-Retrofit “E” Evaluation After your retrofits are completed our energy advisor will re-evaluate your Home’s improved energy use. All retrofits must be completed prior to the Post-Retrofit “E” evaluation. 1 hour $100.00 plus applicable travel plus GST
Emergency Furnace Replacement If an Emergency situation requires the replacement of your furnace prior to the Pre-Retrofit/ “D” Evaluation, you may not need to schedule a Post-Retrofit/ “E” evaluation. After receiving your report, you can call our office and request that Grant forms be mailed out to you. You will need to complete the grant forms and return them to our office to qualify for the furnace-only retrofit grant.

Please note: The emergency furnace replacement program is only in effect during certain months of the year.  To inquire about the emergency furnace program, be sure to contact an EnerGuide customer service rep prior to installation.
